JASON COOK
Biography
The comedic bug first bit Jason when he performed as part of renowned
Newcastle sketch troupe Soup . He then honed his burgeoning
comedy talents as resident compere of The Hyena Club, regularly
charming 300 baying punters who look more than capable of devouring
their own young.
When not working his solo magic on the crowds, Jason makes up one half
of the Germanic techno duo Die Clatterschenkenfietermaus. Accused by
The Scotsman of producing 'post-post industrial despair rock'
that makes Kraftwerk sound like Girls Aloud, Die Clatter wowed
Edinburgh with their debut 2005 show and were nominated for the North
West Comedy Awards Breakthrough Act. They featured on Paramount's
The World Stands Up and returned to Edinburgh in 2006 with Die
Clatterschenkenfietermaus vs Malcom and Miriam , where they were
joined by the world's most loved-up couple.
This Edinburgh, Jason is stepping out from behind his characters to
deliver a debut solo show of unabashed honesty.
