TOM STADE
BIOGRAPHY
Globetrotting comedian Tom Stade broke out of the wilds of British
Columbia where he was born to become a star in his homeland. A
versatile and naturally gifted performer, Tom appeared in the
critically acclaimed sitcom The Newsroom and in the
award-winning feature film My Own Private Oshawa . As a
stand-up, he was awarded the ultimate accolade of his own one hour TV
special Stade And Confused .
A world tour soon followed and saw Tom headline everywhere from New
York and London, by way of Amsterdam and Johannesburg. Tom's
irrepressible charm translated effortlessly to TV, with appearances on
Channel 5's The Comedy Store , BBC TV's The Live Floor Show
and Comedy Central/ Paramount's The World Stands Up .
His 2006 Edinburgh Fringe debut And Relax at The Stand Comedy
Club garnered rave reviews and sell-out crowds. His simultaneous
Fringe performance alongside Phil Nichol in Sam Shepard's play True
West led to The Scotsman dubbing him 'the most impressive double act
on the Fringe'.
This year, as well as his much-anticipated Setlist , Tom will
be starring in Rich Hall's new play Best Western at the
Assembly Rooms. 2007 also sees the release of his first ever DVD
Porkchops & Faggots
